Traditional Frame Homes Along with the rest of the residential housing market, traditional 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 homes are changing. A builder must keep up with these changes as our collective discoveries in the building science industry demonstrate better, safer and more energy efficient ways to build. When building a home with us, you have the comfort in knowing that our experience and technical expertise provide you with the best quality home you can expect. Because we go out of our way to know and constantly learn more about how a home works, you don't have to; however, you remain the beneficiary. Milled Log Homes Milled log homes get this generic name from the fact that during the production process, a variety of mechanical tools (shapers, planers, lathes, band saws, etc.) are used to manufacture each log. Typically the logs are 'milled' to a uniform nature to facilitate their fitting together and assembly.
In conjunction with Country Log Homes, Timberline Builders Inc. provides the finest milled log home available in the industry. Our patented, mitered mortise-and-tenon interlocking system, coupled with tight fitting tongue and groove construction, create a weather-tight barrier assuring a lifetime of warmth and comfort. Country Log Homes has been manufacturing log homes since 1978. All logs are meticulously precut to assure a perfect fit and to allow fast and accurate assembly. With the flexibility offered by a wide variety of log styles, homeowners can mix and match as they wish to create truly unique interior finishes. Customers may choose between Norway Red Pine and Eastern White Pine. Both species radiate a beautiful inner glow and provide lasting durability. |

Handcrafted Log Homes Unlike milled log homes where each log is uniformly shaped for assembly, handcrafted homes take the natural character and taper of each log and specifically fit one to the next. Each log is scribed full length to independently fit the log below it. Only hand tools and a skilled craftsman are used to complete this process.
Timberline Builders Inc. works with M & H Wood Specialties from Alberta, Canada, to provide you with the highest quality handcrafted log homes. M&H has been hand-hewing logs in the Edmonton area since 1981. Superior quality large diameter, full length Englemann Spruce eastern slope logs, ranging from 12" to 24" in diameter, are hand-peeled, scribed and cut to fit the contours of the log below it in the wall. All corners are constructed with shrink-to-fit notches and all grooves are pre-insulated. Re-assembly of the log shell for most handcrafted homes of around 1,800 to 2,400 square feet is complete within one week. This includes between 18 and 30 hours of on-site crane time. |

Working directly with architects, engineers, and timber frame suppliers, we develop the house of your dreams. By creating only superior designs and using only the best in materials, we deliver a legacy that will live on for generations.
